This is a Rondure or perfectly Spherical cremation urn for ashes. I love crafting round things and the perfect globe shape as it is symbolic of many things like perfection, the circle of life and strength with no beginning and no end.
I call this Urn - "Contemplation" and it is part of a set of 4 traditional Chinese landscape scenes. The artwork was done by a Chinese artist and I had to learn how to carefully transfer the image onto the clay and finish with a clear gloss glaze.
This urn is suitable for the ashes of all adults.
