The White Lily Urns Story

About 5 years ago my 87-year-old Aunt, Ena Delai became terminally ill. She asked me to make her a pottery urn for her ashes and then to throw them off the top of the Gillies Range. OK Ena, if that is what you want.
In the process of researching what is required I found a real lack of affordable, unique, Australian, hand made products. It was a natural progression for me with my 30 year background in nursing and palliative care to transition into creating beautiful memorial and practical items for people facing the loss of a loved one, a pet or in planning for their own passing. I am finally able to do this full time hence the birth of White Lily Urns.
The items displayed on this website are most of what is available today with more being created all the time. If you would like to see more give me a call and make an appointment to visit my homebased showroom.
I am always open to discussing your ideas and I take orders for custom items like plaques and grave markers. I also make lots of succulent pots for fun.
Each and every item is hand made by me individually. I have zero machinery to mass produce items apart from my kilns although I do use some vintage plaster moulds and some moulds that I have made myself that are completely original and exclusive to White Lily Urns.
I love clay. Pottery is so versatile; it can be designed to disintegrate over time back into the earth or fired to become fused and glass-like giving it a 2000 year minimum life span. Design ideas are infinite. I am always experimenting with different glazes and techniques that will ensure that your urn remains unique and special.
