Why choose Ceramic Urns?

If you are looking for a cremation urn in Australia, this is exactly what White Lily Urns is all about. Cremation Urns can be formed from different materials like wood, metal, granite, plastic and even paper mache and should any of them wordlessly express an important aspect of your loved one then perhaps  one of those will be ok. Or is it?

Properties of Ceramic Material

Ceramic material is soft, sometimes liquid clay which can be moulded, cut and shaped into endless forms. Different finishes and textures can be applied to mimic wood or metal and in fact all glazes are melted minerals of various kinds. By adding paper to soft clay the properties of paper mache can be built into completely biodegradable pieces. On top of that when fired to great temperatures I literally turn clay to stone.

The qualities of ceramic material above others includes
  • Endless custom colours and textures
  • Glaze colours do not fade over time
  • Will still be around in 10 000 years time when fired in a kiln
  • Completely disintegrates and becomes one with the earth when unfired
  • Shock resistant, scratch resistant and stays in excellent condition for a very long time
  • Chemical resistant and will not tarnish or rust
  • Lightweight and very tactile. They can be smooth like glass or burial pods are soft almost like velvet
  • Environmentally friendly and some are completely inert and actually enhance the living conditions for a range of life forms.

Ceramic Urns Australia

Australian ceramic urns are made from minerals and mud sourced right here in the country as the quality cannot be beaten. I cannot begin to describe the level of craftsmanship and skill required to individually hand-make a beautiful and unique piece. Therefore, every ceramic urn or keepsake is infused with passion and love as a minimum requirement in its manufacture.

When people choose an urn, dove or angel from me I always notice that the piece speaks to them about their lost loved one. One lady chose a harmony urn because her mother loved the colour yellow, a young man chose an Unicorn urn because his mother dyed her hair the same colours as a Fairy Unicorn and I am currently working on Dragon Urns for a lady who is purchasing her own urn. She wants dragons because that is her Chinese Zodiac animal.

There is very likely, a ceramic cremation urn to match every person and beloved pet in the world. Feel free to browse our website for lots of original ideas and to find for the right urn for you.
